Expansion of the Universe

The Bible described an expanding universe 2,500 years before science.

"He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth... He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in."

The Evidence

For centuries, the prevailing scientific view was that the universe was static and eternal. However, the Bible repeatedly describes God 'stretching out' the heavens (Isaiah 40:22, Job 9:8, Psalm 104:2).

Scientific Validation

In 1929, Edwin Hubble discovered the 'redshift' of distant galaxies, proving that the universe is indeed expanding. This confirmed the biblical description and overturned the static universe model.
