The Stones of New Jerusalem
The 12 foundation stones show brilliant colors under pure light, unlike diamonds or rubies.

"The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald..."
The Evidence
Revelation 21 lists 12 specific stones as the foundation of the New Jerusalem. These stones are 'anisotropic,' meaning they produce brilliant, rainbow-like colors only under pure (polarized) light. Since God is light and without shadow (James 1:17), His glory acts as this pure light source. While diamonds and rubies appear dark under such light, these specific stones are designed to erupt in color when illuminated by God's glory.
Scientific Validation
Of the 28 common gemstones, only 16 are anisotropic. The 12 stones listed in Revelation are all anisotropic. This suggests God chose materials specifically designed to react to His own glory (pure light), a property unknown until the 19th-century invention of the polariscope.
